Terms of Service

Last updated 7 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Swift Media Holdings LLC ("we", "us"), which runs CanoClip at canoclip.com. By creating an account or using CanoClip you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who can use CanoClip

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. Give us a real email address, keep your password safe, and tell us if someone else uses your account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. One person should have one account: creating several accounts to collect free minutes is not allowed.

2. What the service does

CanoClip turns your videos and audio into transcripts, uses AI to suggest the best moments, and cuts those moments into clips (optionally with captions, a vertical crop, or joined into one video). The suggestions, transcripts and captions are produced by automated systems and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Check every result before you publish it.

3. Your content and your rights

You keep ownership of your content. You give us a limited licence to store, copy, process and send it to our service providers only so that we can run the service for you (see the Privacy Policy).

You must own the content you upload or link to, or have permission to use it this way. When you paste a link, you confirm that you have the rights to that video and that using it with CanoClip does not break the rules of the website it comes from. We do not check this for you, and you are fully responsible for it. Do not use CanoClip to copy or clip films, series, music, sports or other material you do not have permission to use. Do not use the service to get around copy protection or access controls.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

5. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on CanoClip infringes your copyright, email hello@canoclip.com with: your name and contact details; a description of the work; where the material is (a link or file name); a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own or may act for the owner. We remove material that appears to infringe, tell the person who added it, and let them send a counter-notice. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.

6. Minutes, plans and payments

7. Storage and deletion

The original video you upload or link to is removed automatically 7 days after you last used it. The clips and merged videos you make from it are kept for 14 days after you last used the video or made a clip from it, and are then deleted automatically. From your library you can rename, download or delete any of them yourself at any time, and you can remove an original early to free up space while keeping your clips. Each account has a storage limit. We do not keep backups of your files, so download what you want to keep. Deleted files cannot be recovered. Once an original is removed, making new clips from it means uploading it again, which uses minutes again.

8. Fair-use limits and availability

To keep the service fast and affordable we apply limits, for example up to 3 separate time ranges of one video per processing, up to 20 new AI searches per video, caps on downloads, clips and combined videos per day or hour, and a maximum joined-video length. We may change these limits. We work to keep CanoClip running but do not promise that it will always be available or error-free.

9. Third-party services and links

CanoClip relies on other companies for transcription, AI, payments, sign-in and email, and can fetch videos from websites you give us. Their own terms apply to their services. We are not responsible for them or for the websites you link to.

10. Affiliate program

If you join our affiliate program, the Affiliate Terms also apply to you.

11. Suspension and ending

You can stop using CanoClip and delete your account at any time (cancel any subscription first). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, put the service or other people at risk, or if the law requires it. If we end your account without a reason related to your conduct, we will refund the unused part of any current paid month.

12. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, including that results will be accurate, suitable for your purpose or free of errors.

13. Limit of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities. Our total liability to you for anything connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. You are responsible for your content

You agree to cover our reasonable losses (including legal fees) if someone brings a claim against us because of content you uploaded or linked to, or because you broke these terms or the law.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Using CanoClip after that means you accept the new terms.
